Visa requirements for entering Dubai differ for each Nationality. Considering regulations change frequently, it is very important for travelers to check requirements before booking a ticket. Passport Holders Who Will Be Issued Entry Permits Upon Arrival at UAE entry ports:

Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and Vatican City.

OtherCountries:

USA, Australia, Brunei, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea.

According to the following regulations:

This permit is a visit visa and entitles its holder to stay for 60 days from the date of entry. This visa can be renewed. It is issued without any charges when entering the UAE, but there will be charges for the renewal. The applicant party will complete the visa application at the UAE exits if the visitor data is not listed in the system. Any holder of this entry permit cannot hold any paying job during the period of his visit.

The decree of the Federal Legislation concerning the entry and residence of expatriates will be applied to this kind of permit.

Visa Regulations For all other Nationalities:

There are several types of visas for visitors to Dubai. A penalty charge of Dhs.100 per day is imposed on visitors who stay past the validity period of their visa. Visitors from certain countries may require a sponsor. If so, airlines may require confirmation that a sponsor is holding a valid visa for the visitor.

AGCC expatriates residents who meet certain conditions may obtain a non-renewable 30 day visa upon arrival at approved ports of entry. the following passport holders can get an entry permit stamped in their passport upon arrival.

Regulations for visa application:

  • Passport must have minimum 6 months validity at the time of applying for an Entry Permit.
  • All photographs are to be recent colour photographs. (Polaroid Photographs are not accepted)
  • Those who are already in the U.A.E cannot get another entry permit until he/she departs from U.A.E.
  • Entry Permit for visit to Residents of the G.C.C states.

This permit is granted at the State Entry Outlets approved for the foreigner residing in one of the G.C.C States, who is not holding a prior visa or permit which allows him to enter the Country, if he was one of the following categories:

  1. Subjects of the United States of America, Canada, Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Spain, Republic of Germany, Republic of Ireland, Republic of Iceland, Republic of Italy, Republic of Portugal, Kingdom of Norway, Austria, Netherlands (Holland), and Greece.
  2. Subjects of other countries from among businessmen, managers of companies and their representatives, accountants, auditors, doctors and engineers.
  3. Family members of the categories mentioned in paragraph (1, 2) and their sponsored drivers upon entry through land entry points.

This Entry Permit for the residents of the G.C.C States allows its holder to enter the Country once, and stay in it for a period not exceeding thirty days, from the date of endorsement of such permit on the Passport, and this period may not be extended, and in case of exceeding this period, the legally prescribed delay penalty shall apply. An Entry Service Permit applies to business people and tourists. It requires the sponsorship of a company or hotel that is licensed to operate within the UAE. This visa is valid for 14 days from the date of issue, exclusive of arrival and departure days. It is non-renewable.

The visit visa applies to tourists who wish to spend more than 14 days in Dubai, as well as those visiting family, or staying for long-term business visits. The visa requires the sponsorship of any UAE resident, company, or hotel, licensed to operate within the UAE. This visa is valid for entry within two months of its date of issue.

The Visit Visa is valid for 60 days and is renewable for an extra 30 days, totaling a stay of up to 90 days. A fee of Dhs.500 is charged for this 30-day renewal. A Visit Visa entitles the holder to change their status to that of residence or employment provided certain conditions are met. The Visit Visa holder may enter and leave the country through any port of entry in the UAE.

Airlines may require a visa photocopy before checking-in at the airport. Sponsored travelers must ensure their sponsor faxes them a visa photocopy before flying. The original is held at Dubai Airport for collection before entering passport control.

Visit visas are valid for 30 or 60 days, not one or two calendar months. If the number of visiting days is exceeded, a fine of Dhs.100 for every extra day spent in the UAE must be paid at the airport before leaving.

Documents Required

The following documents are required to process a visa :

  1. Passport copy of the applicant – scan the original passport & send by email.
  2. Passport size recent color photograph.
  3. Fill in the attached form with complete details.
  4. Guarantors passport copy with valid residence visa page.
  5. Security Cheque of the guarantor.
